OC Public Works will be making repairs and installing new sidewalks along Newport Blvd. from Crawford Canyon Rd to Greenbrier Rd. Lane closures to be expected during construction.
WHAT
Construction activity will occur along the north side of Newport Blvd., including repairs to existing sidewalks, removal of existing wood pole fencing and sidewalk replacement. See map below for details.
Temporary Lane Closures Needed:
- The work also involves traffic control requiring temporary sidewalk and lane closures on Newport Blvd.
- Traffic control measures, such as construction signage and flag personnel will be present for everyone’s safety.
- Please observe all safety signs, barriers and personnel when near the project area.
- Area motorists and other road users may experience delays when traveling through the project area during working hours.
- In case of emergency, work will be halted and roadway access re-opened for emergency responders.

Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The construction schedule is tentative and subject to change due to weather and other factors.
WHERE
